Maria Gutierrez,
Executive Assistant
The verbs “to teach,” “to understand,” “to think,” “to dance,” “to listen” and “to smile” best illustrate who I am. A product of a multicultural family, I have lived in various parts of the world, particularly Venezuela, Poland and Quebec. Over the years, I have learned that you need to adapt to the culture of your host country. Today, this openness and multicultural awareness serve me well in both my personal and professional life.
After studying in various continents, and in multiple languages, I began a program in administration at the Champlain Regional College in Quebec, where I discovered an interest for coordinating and managing projects. I later held an administrative position for the multinational company Pebercan, where I had to work for many bosses posted all over the world: a sizeable challenge indeed! This experience helped me quickly hone my efficiency and talents in logistics while enhancing my sense of responsibility. During my time at Pebercan, I also assisted a team of lawyers at LV Conseils Institutionnels, a company that taught me how to be thorough down to the last detail. The Web site project that this firm entrusted to me was a very rewarding accomplishment.
Having developed a passion for the arts at a young age, and after deciding to add another arrow to my professional quiver, I registered in a graphic design course at Concordia University. Now, as an executive assistant at CASACOM, I have the opportunity to use all of my skills and apply them to all aspects of my job. Since I also excel at design, I take great delight in adding my own touch to graphic design projects.
In my daily life, I am a curious, energetic person who stays on top of trends, but I also have my moments of calmness. I love watching movies of all kinds, from action adventure to foreign films, and I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. My love for travel pulls me to gorgeous beaches and sublime landscapes, to exotic food that makes the taste buds tingle, and to Latin music that lasts into the night.
So what gives you the travel bug?
