Caroline Bazinet
Director, Administration and Events
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always given my all. Be it at home or work, with my family, or on my travels, I’ve never done things by halves!
After a great deal of pondering what I wanted to do with my life, it suddenly came to me when I was around 18: I wanted to organize events, from A to Z, and pull the strings from behind the scenes, leaving the spotlight to others. To get my feet wet, I decided to get involved in organizing an annual show for nearly 2,000 people for the gymnastics club in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu where I trained and taught. I happily went about the task for the next five years.
After earning a BBA at HEC Montréal—including a unforgettable semester in Strasbourg—I began my career in various positions with a number of marketing firms. Then I set up my own event management firm and handled a number of big projects for the likes of the Canadian Space Agency and Bibliothèque nationale du Québec, taking time off now and again to backpack around the world (Europe, the United States, the Caribbean, and Australia). Then one day I felt the need to settle down and join a team that both resembled and inspired me. Which is when I crossed paths with CASACOM.
I have called the agency home for a number of years now. I take care of administration and hone our internal processes, all while continuing to put on events for our clients. Whatever the project, I throw my heart into it and always put the client’s interests first. And I never lose sight of how others will experience the event, because truly memorable events need to have something for everyone.
Away from work I am also involved in my local community. I am an active member of the Quebec Gymnastic Federation’s women’s judging committee and judge a number of women’s artistic gymnastic competitions across the province. This hobby gives me the opportunity to travel and discover Quebec’s many regions—and riches!
And how satisfying are your hobbies?
