Audrey Filion
Consultant
Growing up in the countryside taught me to appreciate the simple things in life, a talent that has come in handy throughout my career and personal life.
Over time, through my work in sectors as diverse as food (the California Almond Coop, the Mieux manger pour le plaisir et la santé guide published by Les Éditions Protégez-Vous, Laura Secord, Ben & Jerry’s), public affairs (the Nouvelle Autoroute 30 Consortium, Montreal Hooked on School), health (EpiPen, Seasonale), fashion and culture (the launch of Radio-Canada webseries Les chroniques d’une mère indigne, the National Magazine Awards, Reebok), or retail management and fashion marketing (Jacob, Rudsak), I have learned to channel the inspiration that guides me every day in my work as a public relations professional.
With a soft spot for pretty things on the one hand, and for practicality on the other, I’m right at home in marketing communications. I enjoy nothing more than playing around with the idea of a product, including what it does to our senses and what its market and target audience are.
But what I love most of all about public relations is the relations side of things—the relationships that develop with clients, journalists, colleagues, and my various business partners.
I always look to add a personal touch to everything I do. And I find it particularly satisfying when I succeed in taking projects to the next level.
In my free time, I enjoy tending to my community garden, strolling the streets of Montreal, and—naturally—shopping! And there’s nothing I like more than spending an evening in great company.
What about you? What do you do with your free time?
